Jacksonville group dedicated to helping local veterans get back on their feet

A Jacksonville group is making it a priority to ensure its veterans are taken care of.
The Lone Star Military Resource Group and Anderson and Cherokee County Community Enrichment Services (ACCESS) is making sure veterans in the area have all the tools they need to back on their feet.
J.D. Collett says the program is going above and beyond, through signing a community covenant vowing for the city to be vet friendly, to opening up a brand new veteran's home, and hosting mental trauma groups for veterans and their families.
To help fund the program and the new home, vets have the chance to work and do things like grow and sell produce and even make furniture.
