Jacksonville, TX (KETK) — For most students, Spring Break is a time to relax and recharge for the final few school months before summer vacation.
But for five East Texas homeschool families, that won't be the case.
They will be apart of Eight Days of Hope, a nationwide Christian missionary organization.
This year they will be heading to Louisiana, helping people who have been affected by hurricanes.
The families have been raising money for the trip by selling chili plates, and will spend the rest of the week making,a and delivering to their donators.
When they get to Louisiana, they will have different resposibilities, but they say, any job that is done to give back is equally important.
The families tell KETK they have sold 110 orders for chili.
