Jacksonville youth outreach transforming town relic

Tuesday, February 25, 2014 - 12:24am

Eagle's Nest ministry is preparing to turn a piece of town history into their new youth center.

The old cotton gin building, located across the street from the Jacksonville post office, was built back in 1885.

The organization has owned the property since 2009.

Eagle's Nest is a Christian organization that caters to local teenagers, helping them stay off the streets by giving them better alternatives.

The organization has suspended many of their usual outreach programs in order to focus on transforming this century old property.

They plans to have the grand opening in mid April.

They are taking money donations, as well others such as television sets, lights, and furniture.

To get in touch with the organization call the office at (936)-326-9765 or director James Kimbrell's cell (936)-652-2344, or send donations to P.O. Box 233, Sacul TX 75788.
