Juvenile Prisons

By AUSTIN (AP)

AUSTIN (AP) - The acting director of the Texas Youth Commission
wants to know if any employees had connections to the company that
ran a now-closed West Texas juvenile prison.

The state closed the Coke County Juvenile Center earlier in the
week because of the condition of the facility.

The state also canceled its multi-million dollar contract with GEO Group
Incorporated.

Dimitria Pope says agency investigators will look to see if any employees were connected to GEO in any way.

Pope says, that anyone with ties to the company will be fired.
