SMITH COUNTY- The controversial muliti-million dollar smith county jail bond, continues to bring-out passionate opinions and ideas from smith county residents and community leaders.

The topic of the opinion's...is the cost, and the location of a new jail.

Andy Bergfeld is a fifth generation Tylerite.
He says, there's alternatives to where the new jail is proposed to be located.

"I'd like to see it go on the east side of downtown, there's twenty-plus acres behind the square that's really begging for re-development, I think that it would be a better decision."

He say's a differnt jail location, would bring the price tag down, and bring much needed retail business to the square.
