Jailer Arrested For Assaulting Inmate

EAST TEXAS - A Winona man is cuffed in Florida on child pornography charges.
25- year old Kyle Richard Schlau, a 2001 graduated of Winona High School, was arrested at his home in Jacksonville.
Authorities say, they found the child porn images during an undercover investigation.
He faces 9- counts of promoting the sexual performance of a minor.
That's a second- degree felony.
A Gregg County jailer is accused of assaulting an inmate.
Paul Lynn Smith is charged with Official Oppression.
An arrest affidavit says, Smith struck an inmate in the face with his fist.
27-year-old Jeremy Shane Lee is in the Angelina County Jail, charged with possession of a controlled substance.
But now, authorities have learned, Lee is also wanted in Houston— for murder.
At this point, no bond is set for either crime.
A Smith County jury finds David Allen McBride "not guilty" of murder.
McBride was accused of shooting and killing George "Rusty" Hill back in 2007.
Authorities say, Hill was shot eight times in the back, while trying to get away.
McBride says, he did it in self-defense.
Longview Cops are looking for two black men they say, robbed Zippy J's Convenience Store on West Fairmont, at gunpoint.
Employees told police the two men walked into the store, pointed a gun at them and demanded money.
They got away with cash.
If you know anything— you are urged to call police.
Longview Cops also arrested two men, after they allegedly burglarized Rudy's Convenience Store on South Eastman Road.
Cops say, Bobby Lee Thompson and Henry King, Junior were busted— carrying bags of stolen items out of the store.
They ran, but were eventually caught and cuffed.
The men are charged with burglary of a building and evading arrest.
Longview Cops want you— to keep a look out for bad checks.
They say, several older folks have gotten checks in the mail, with a letter— informing them that they've won a prize or are being awarded money from a trust fund.
Cops say, these checks are not real!
Don't cash it!
And instead— call the Cops.
And finally, city officials in Nacogdoches say, they cleared more than 232-thousand dollars in outstanding warrants.
During the round-up, 723 cases were cleared.
Officials say, before officers began making arrests, Nacogdoches Municipal Court had more than 13-thousand outstanding warrants, valued at more than 4-million bucks.
Another Warrant Round-Up is scheduled for later this year.
