Jerry Jones: Deion Sanders could have covered Calvin Johnson
Irving — Jerry Jones signed Deion Sanders in 1995 to a record-breaking contract that included a $12.9 million signing bonus. The Cowboys owner still thinks an awful lot of the Hall of Fame cornerback, who helped the Cowboys win their third Super Bowl title of the 1990s.
Jones said on his radio show Tuesday that he has no doubt Sanders could cover Calvin Johnson, whose 329-yard receiving day against the Cowboys on Sunday was the second-best in NFL history.
