Jerry Jones on decision to fire Rob Ryan, hire Monte Kiffin: "It doesn't look good right now."
New Orleans — The side issue to Sunday's game between the Cowboys and Saints was the presence of defensive coordinator Rob Ryan on the Saints sideline.
He was fired by Cowboys owner Jerry Jones following a 2012 season when Ryan's defense set a team record for yards allowed.
Of course, Ryan was setback by a plethora of injuries on defense that was without five starters by the end of the season. The Cowboys hired Monte Kiffin to replace him because they felt his scheme's were simpler and more fundamentally sound than Ryan's.
