Arias: "Death is the ultimate freedom."

Jodi Arias, convicted of first-degree murder in the slaying of ex-boyfriend Travis Alexander, said she would prefer to get the death penalty rather than life in prison.

"Death is the ultimate freedom," she told KSAZ in Phoenix Wednesday in an exclusive interview shortly after the verdict was announced.

Arias was convicted on Wednesday for the brutal slaying of her ex-boyfriend, Travis Alexander.

According to police reports, Arias stabbed Alexander multiple times, shot him in the head and slit his throat, after a wild day of sexual escapades.
