Jon Huntsman turns to Twitter to criticize Perry

SALT LAKE CITY — Republican presidential candidate Jon Huntsman is turning to Twitter to level criticism against a rival, Texas Gov. Rick Perry, and his positions on evolution and climate change.
Huntsman said in a tweet Thursday that he trusts scientists on global warming and believes in evolution, even it makes him seem "crazy."
The former Utah governor's tweet came the same day that Perry told a New Hampshire crowd that he supports teaching evolution and creationism. Perry said earlier this week that climate change is an unproven scientific theory.
In another tweet, Huntsman says President Barack Obama should call Congress back into session to deal with the economic crisis instead of taking a vacation.
Since the tweets, Huntsman has gained more than 3,000 followers on his Twitter account. He now has nearly 16,000.
