Jurors react to conclusion of 'Exorcism' trial
RUSK COUNTY — In 2008, Jesseca Carson and her boyfriend Blaine Milam were accused of brutally beating and killing Carson's 13-month old daughter Amora - during what they called an 'exorcism' to beat the demons out.
Milam was sentenced to death for his part in the killing last year - and on Wednesday, Carson was also found guilty of capital murder...and sentenced to life in prison without parole.
In Wednesday's closing arguments, the pictures were worth a thousand words - with gasps and tears filling the courtroom whenever a photo of Amora's beaten body was shown.
"I don't think I'll ever get over...seeing the pictures of her," said Linda Williams, a juror.
"No...it won't leave...it won't be over...it's something we'll...remember forever," said Pat Beet, a juror.
