Astronauts tied to age-related macular degeneration
Houston — Houston Chronicle is reporting; spaceflight, it is turning out, is hard on the eyes. For more than a decade, space scientists have recognized that astronauts have an increased likelihood of developing eye problems, such as premature age-related macular degeneration.
