Kansas Man charged with killing doctor

KANSAS—Prosecutors in Kansas have officially charged the man accused of killing a doctor.

Scrott Roeder is charged with first-degree murder for the shooting of Dr. George Tiller on Sunday at Dr. Tiller's church in Wichita, Kansas. Dr. Tiller ran a Wichita clinic that performed late-term abortions. His practice had previously come under fire from pro-life activists.

Roeder is being held without bond and is also charged with aggravated assault for allegedly threatening two people who tried to stop him from committing the crime.
