East Texans wonder if suspected gunman was already being watched?

East Texans sound-off on yesterday's killings at Fort Hood and the suspected killer.

The mainstream media is for the most part, a mouthpiece for propaganda and senseless b-s. The story we've been hearing about Fort Hood is a cover-up. Why do you think there were over 500 soldiers and many helicopters deployed? The 'terrorist killing spree' was a decoy to hide the real incident. I suspect that over the coming months and years the real story will eventually, slowly but surely be revealed, and we will know why. Story continued below........

1 week agoSo the only military folks, Heather, who deserve our praise, are the ones who see combat? That's a big "thanks for nothing" to a lot of people out there! And why isn't it the shooting iteslf that "disgusts" you most? Very emotional - just like the shooter.

1 week agoThat's not what I said Mr. Kenny. The first and foremost duty of a soldier, who volunteers to serve their country, is to defend when asked too, without question. I was in the Navy for 7 years and have 3 deployments under my belt---it is what the military does--deploy!!! When I was asked to go, I left behind my family and home life without question. I have received part of my college education while serving in the military, doing most of my homework while sitting on an aircraft carrier in the Persian Gulf. At some point, all soldiers deploy, most within their first year or 2 of service. This coward has been in the military 12 years without a deployment. In all my travels and several duty stations I have been at, I have never met ANYONE without a deployment under their belt. If it is someone's worse nightmare to be deployed, do not join the military and take advantage of what is offered.
Yes, I am emotional. I have friends at Ft. Hood and my heart goes out to the soldiers and families of Ft. Hood. To compare a Veteran to the shooter is absolutely disgusting to me and THAT is a Thanks for nothing to this Veteran.

1 week agoScott - I can understand your concern about how our Commander in Chief handled it but I have a feeling you are not an Obama fan to begin with. Your focus is on him at a Press Conference? This story is not about President Obama. This story is totally about the horrible tragedy that took place at Ft. Hood.

2 weeks agoPresident Obama addressed the nation regarding the massacre at Fort Hood during a press conference regarding the Tribal Nations Conference. I was disgusted when he opened with remarks about the conference and thanked people who helped at the conference instead of acknowledging the rampage at Fort Hood. It was a full two minutes before he even mentioned Fort Hood. Every newscaster, guest, and person that has been interviewed on ANY news channel has started by stating something to the effect of “our thoughts and prayers go out to the soldiers and families in Fort Hood.” Unfortunately, our Commander in Chief continued with campaign-like comments rather than immediately paying his respects to those who had died. When is our President going to stop campaigning and start acting like a president?

2 weeks agoWhat digusts me most is first, this coward used the military and government to obtain a very expensive degree, avoiding being deployed over at least the past 6 years while many brave men and women were on their 3rd and 4th deployments. When he was asked to now live up to his obligations as a US Soldier, he choose to take his personal agenda and turn on those who had been serving along side him and allowing him to serve his country. Disgusting actions and if mental illness is used as his alibi, there should be outrage. God Bless America and God Bless our Troops!!!
