We lost a member of the KETK/KFXK family Thursday night.

Longtime employee, John Jones died from a heart attack at 58-years-old.

He has been with the company for nearly 20 years at our Longview bureau.

Friends and family close to him called him JJ.

He is survived by his wife, Carolyn, and daughters, Lauren and Nicole Jones.

John enjoyed time with his family, traveling, tending to his cows and gardening.

Our thoughts and prayers are with his family.

His visitation is Tuesday night from 6 to 7 o'clock at Stanmore Funeral Home in Longview.

The funeral takes place Wednesday at 11 AM at Red Oak Baptist Church in Longview.
