Keystone XL Pipeline rolls forward after ruling

Lamar County — Attorney Wendi Hammond knew even before Wednesday’s ruling against her client and for the Keystone XL Pipeline, that the fight to clarify who can take a person’s land would continue.
“Eminent domain just got very interesting in Texas,” Hammond said hours before Lamar County Court at Law Judge Bill Harris ruled the pipeline’s builder and owner, TransCanada, is a common carrier qualified for eminent domain status.
