Kids cooking to kick off spring

Cooking classes aren't just for adults, kids want to learn to especially when there's food coloring involved.

There's always something cooking at Sweet Gourmet and on Sunday, kids got the chance to turn their art into lunch. "It's a cooking class once a month for children ages 6-10 and just do it through what holiday is going on, so Easter is coming up," said Lori Pallex, Sweet Gourmet.

Eggs were boiling and tables were set for all the fun. "We dye them we add a little oil to them, vinegar water and it makes them all marbelized," said Pallex.

Then they'll crack them and make an egg salad sandwich. "We'll cut them out with some white bread or any kind of bread in bunny shapes egg shapes, whatever they want," said Pallex.

Kids had a great time while parents shopped. "They just love it, they like the hands on being able to work with their friends they bring their friends along.

They get to take home the recipe so when they go easter egg hunting they can turn their treasures into treats.
