Kilgore, TX (Kilgore College) — The Kilgore College football team will host a winter tryout for any college-eligible athlete who would like to join the Rangers squad.

Registration for the combine is set for 10-10:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 9, at R. E. St. John Memorial Stadium in Kilgore.

The combine will begin at 10:30 a.m. and should last a couple hours, according to coaches.

Attendees must bring their own cleats, workout clothes and tennis shoes.

Cost of the tryout is $20 per person.

This workout will provide the opportunity to showcase athletic abilities to the coaching staff and possibly earn a football scholarship or walk-on position.

“In the past, we’ve offered scholarships to players who have done well at these combines,” said head coach J.J. Eckert. “We’re looking for players at all positions.”
