Kilgore College teacher’s photo part of Houston museum exhibit
Kilgore — Like a proud father, O. Rufus Lovett flipped through a book and magazines containing his photographs of barbecue, landscape and Southern roots.
And he talked of how such images are made.
“You can plan all you want when you arrive, but your intuition from past experiences will dictate the way you make the photograph,” Lovett said.
Lovett has been teaching photography at Kilgore College for almost 40 years. He has authored three books, “Weeping Mary,” “Barbecue Crossroads” and “Kilgore Rangerettes.”
