High school students will now be able to seamlessly transition through Kilgore College to the bachelor’s degree program at the University of Texas at Tyler-Longview University Center.

The community college and the university on Tuesday announced a new partnership, the Roadmap to Success Program, which will guide students from dual-credit high school programs to the sophomore year at Kilgore College and through bachelor’s degree completion with UT Tyler.

“We want to help students by providing information on a (bachelor’s of science in nursing) degree by working with area high schools and Kilgore College so students will not have to travel to Tyler,” Longview University Center Director Van Patterson said. “Financially, this is a great option so students can live at home and get their degree right here in Longview.”
