The Kilgore Fire Department held a special training session Friday morning for an international guest of honor.

Saudi Arabian assistant fire chief Faisal Yamani has been in Kilgore all week shadowing the fire department and learning the ropes of American firefighting.

Yamani says Saudi Arabian firefighting is shaped after America, and being here to see it firsthand is very beneficial.

He says he's eager to share what he's learned in Kilgore with his firefighters back home.

Kilgore assistant chief  Michael Simmons says he's glad he was able to show Yamani one of the most important parts about being in the fire service.

" We pride ourselves on the brotherhood ..and over there, they're learning and trying to build the brotherhood, most of them have never been exposed to it. So, coming over here, having an opportunity to stay at our fire stations, seeing that bond and that friendship..that firefighters have..and we tell him he's one of us now."

I hope they don't let anything "slip" in front of this dignitary; it wouldn't due to have him hear the way "WE" really talk about Arabs behind their backs.
