Longview, TX — Kilgore ISD Superintendent Jody Clements was hired Wednesday as Longview ISD’s assistant superintendent for administrative and pupil services.

Clements was hired as Kilgore ISD’s superintendent in February 2008. The Kilgore school board has called a special meeting 5:30 p.m. Thursday to consider accepting his resignation. His last day in Kilgore will be Sept. 14 and his first day in Longview will be Sept. 17.

“It’s a great feeling to leave the district on good terms and have accomplished all we have accomplished in just four short years,” Clements said. “Kilgore ISD is still a part of me. Kilgore ISD staff and board are special to me. I love Kilgore; it is my home. We did things no one thought we could do.”
