Kilgore Now Smoke Free
July 17, 2009 - 9:03pm
No "if's" "ands" or "butts" about it; If you light up a smoke at a public place in Kilgore you're breaking the law.
The city wide smoking ban started today.
Now you're not allowed to smoke inside any public building or workplace or within thirty feet of an entrance.
Business owners and employers are required to post "no smoking" signs.
There are some exemptions to the rule.
Businesses that make 50-percent or more of their income from the sale of alcohol can be smoker friendly.
Private organizations are also exempt.

Why are the smokers allowing ourselves to be treated like 5th class citizens? If the non smokers can get together enough to create these laws why cant the smokers get together to try to put a stop to it? Before long you wont even be able to smoke in your own home!
