The Kilgore College Theatre Department will perform “All My Sons” in Van Cliburn Auditorium on the Kilgore campus beginning Oct. 9.

The play is set for 7:30 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday, Oct. 9-13, with a matinee performance 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 14.

The play, directed by theatre instructor Kathy Barber and written by Arthur Miller, is a drama that takes place in 1947, just after World War II ended.

It tells the story of two men, Joe Keller and Steve Deever, who ran a machine shop during the war that made airplane parts.

Deever was sent to prison because the firm turned out defective parts, causing the death of many men.

Keller went free and made a lot of money. Deever’s son returns from the war to find his father in prison and his father’s partner free.

The conflicts that result are both riveting and poignant.

General admission tickets are $6 for adults, $5 for students and $4 for KC students with a student ID.

Late arrivals and children under the age of six will not be admitted.

The play does not contain any objectionable material according to Barber, but the content of the play will most likely not appeal to students under the age of 15.

The box office will open one hour prior to each performance.

For reservations, call Barber at 903-983-8126 or e-mail her: kbarber@kilgore.edu.

Reserved tickets may be picked up at the Will Call table beginning one hour before curtain on the day of each performance.
