Beloved Texas radio host Kidd Kraddick died from "cardiac disease" says the Jefferson Parish Coroner's Office in Louisiana.

Kraddick died on Saturday while in New Orleans where he was attending a "Kidd's Kids" charity event.

Syndicated radio host, Kraddick, was 53 when he died.

Kraddick first started working in Florida, Utah, and California, but it was not until he moved to Dallas in 1984 that his career took off.

After working at "The Eagle" Kraddick was hired in the early 90's for a morning position at 106.1 Kiss FM in Dallas. It was there that he started the well-known "Kidd Kraddick in the Morning Show". The show was eventually syndicated in almost one hundred cities in the United States.

Kraddick's show gained a huge following through creating classic skits such as "Curious Johnny" and the "Teacher Test". But, the project closest to Kraddick's heart was his charity aimed at helping terminally ill children, "Kidd's Kids". Each year Kraddick would take a group of 50 kids who have a chronic or terminal illness to Walt Disney World.

Over the years, Kraddick not only left a huge impact on the radio industry, he also created a bond with his listeners. When KETK spoke with fans of Kraddick, many compared him to part of their family.
