Lakeport — Shoppers at Skinner’s Corner Store in Lakeport were adding something new to their carts Monday. On the first New Year’s Eve they were able to buy beer and wine at a Lakeport store.

Voters in this town of 984 people south of Longview approved two measures in November allowing limited alcohol sales.
