Longview — LeTourneau University officials, faculty members and students honored a man known as the “minister to astronauts” Thursday with the dedication of a room at the Abbott Aviation Center at the East Texas regional Airport.

Bob Parrott, longtime space enthusiast, made LETU the custodian of his collection of space memorabilia, which has been placed in the Parrott Reflection Room at the aviation center.

Parrott and LETU came together because he and the university share a strong foundation in God.
