LeTourneau University graduate promotes aviation with flights in new plane
Longview — More than 2,500 feet above Longview served as a perfect time Tuesday for Daniel Tou to reflect on his childhood.
Every time a plane would fly over Tou’s hometown of Macau, China, his father would excitedly tell his family to look up.
The marvel of flying that Tou felt as a child came full circle in May upon graduation from LeTourneau University’s School of Aviation & Aeronautical Science when he took his parents on an airplane flight.
“We’ve been trained so much on these that it’s really just about making the passenger enjoy the flight and making sure the operation is safe,” Tou said Tuesday at the Paul and Betty Abbott Aviation Center at East Texas Regional Airport.
