Life in Aryan murder case
BEAUMONT — A Lufkin man has been sentenced to life in federal prison for the murders of a man in woman on the orders of a leader in the white supremacist Aryan Brotherhood of Texas.
A statement from U.S. Attorney John Bales says 30-year-old Brent Stalsby was sentenced Wednesday in Beaumont after pleading guilty to committing a violent crime in aid of racketeering activity in the murders of David Mitchamore and Christy Rochelle Brown.
Stalsby's 29-year-old wife, Terry Stalsby, was sentenced to 13½ years in federal prison for being an accessory after the fact in Brown's death.
Prosecutors say Carl Carver ordered the 2007 deaths over a drug debt. He's to be sentenced June 20 in Beaumont after pleading guilty to committing a violent crime in aid of racketeering activity.
