A Lindale firefighter was arrested over the weekend for allegedly driving while intoxicated in a November 27, 2011 wreck.

Christopher Michael Combs, 26, of Lindale, is accused of crashing into a Tyler gas station drunk. According to jail records, Combs blood alcohol content was higher than .15. He was arrested and released Sunday on a $5,000 bond.

According to Tyler police, the incident happened shortly after 2:30 a.m., at the Exxon station on the 1200 block of W. Gentry.

Combs had previously stated he fell asleep at the wheel and drove off the roadway, hitting several gas pumps and causing major damage to the business.
