Lindale High School’s Josh Moore added another major achievement to his academic career Friday morning. Moore is the first LHS junior to receive the R.J. Collins State Farm Insurance Good Neighbor Award during the 2012-2013 school year.

Moore was called to the school’s front office and surprised with the award presentation.

He received a framed certificate, a gift card to Doc’s Pizza in Lindale and a travel safety kit from Collins. The R.J. Collins State Farm Insurance Good Neighbor Award is presented once a month during the school year to a student who represents the core values of Lindale High School: accountability, commitment, discipline, honesty, integrity, ownership, respect and responsibility. Students are nominated for the award by Lindale High School counselors and administrators.

“It is an honor,” Moore said. “The fact that I’ve been recognized by teachers, counselors and principals for being a good student and having integrity means so much to me.”

Brown plans to attend Texas A&M University and major in mechanical engineering.

His LHS activities include the National Honor Society, Prayer and Share Club and he is enrolled in several dual credit courses receiving college credit hours from Tyler Junior College.
