Linden-Kildare CISD board members considered resignations and employment during an executive session held June 11.

After executive session the board accepted resignations from coaches Eule Ford, Karlie McQueen and Colby Boyce. Elementary school librarian Kathy Gilbert and fifth grade reading teacher Sharon Washington retired.

The board also approved the following hirings: Rachel Davis Barkley, fourth grade; Drew Barkley, head basketball coach and algebra I at high school; Brent Milby, science and junior high basketball and track; Edward Carnley, math teacher and coach; Joe Currie, junior high PE coach and history teacher; John David Russell, part-time athletics only; and Jackie Barton, junior high math.

The board declared Dora Richardson’s contract void for failure to obtain certification in accordance with Texas Education Code Section 21.0031.

The board took action to allow the superintendent of schools to offer contracts for unfilled district positions for June, July and August 2012.
