Lions end 45-year playoff drought
Union Grove, TX — After 45 years, the Union Grove Lions are back in the high school football playoffs.
Union Grove rolled to a 34-6 decision over Winona on the road Friday night to clinch its first postseason berth since 1968.
“It’s pretty exciting around here,” said second-year Union Grove head coach Roger Adams. “It’s a great day to be alive.”
