Tyler, TX — The Magik Theater of San Antonio will perform the musical adaptation of “The Jungle Book” on Friday, March 1 at 7 p.m. at the City of Tyler’s Liberty Hall.

Adapted faithfully from Rudyard Kipling’s source stories, “The Jungle Book” begins with the discovery of a human child by a wolf pack in the Indian jungle. Named Mowgli, the boy is raised by wolf parents and educated in jungle law by Bagheera, a black panther, and Baloo, a bear. Complicating their efforts are a fun-loving tribe of monkeys, a python named Kaa, Shere Khan the tiger, and his jackal accomplice, Tabaqui. In the end, Mowgli must decide whether to stay in the jungle or take his place in the world of men.

“The Jungle Book” is recommended for children of all ages. Tickets can be purchased online at www.libertytyler.com, $10 for children or $12 for adults, or at the door for $15 cash only.
