Living aircraft history

Tyler, TX (KETK) — The Tyler Pounds Airport hosted the Historic Aviation Memorial today, giving East Texans a chance to see history up close and personal.
Keeping history alive, that was the motto for organizers Saturday at Tyler Pounds Airport.
Pilots flew in on bombers, jets, and and other aircraft from Houston, San Marcus, and other areas of the state.
All of the planes were manned, and kept up by volunteers, who say they do put in the work not out of a duty to keep history alive, but instead they call it an honor.
And with shows like these, they say it gives visitors a chance to take part in living history.
