Longview, TX — Eight members of the Longview High School Band have qualified for the Region 21 and Region 4 Orchestra following the November 14 Texas Music Educators Association Orchestra wind auditions. The students competed against more than 1,000 of their counterparts to earn the honor.

Longview High School students earning seats in the Region 21 and Region 4 Orchestra:

• Alex Furtney, 1st chair flute;
• Robdrick Halton, 1st chair clarinet;
• Rachel Grant, 2nd chair clarinet;
• Michelle Farren, 2nd chair Oboe;
• Jacob Boles, 2nd chair trumpet;
• Kayla Romero, 4th chair French Horn;
• Andrew Yancy, 1st chair Trombone; and
• Garrett Littlejohn, 1st chair percussion

These students also qualified for area status in the TMEA state audition process.
