Local church offers more than worship

One local church is making quite an impact on East Texas, they're doing it by offering everything people need from spiritual help to just plain old fun.

Rose Heights Church in Tyler offers more than worship, a place to connect with god, live a healthy lifestyle and achieve.

Pastor of Ministries Jerrod Fishback says it was created with a vision. This would be the primary way the church would interact with the local community, we wanted to offer something where people can come work on their physical health, while they're doing that as life happens the church is there to offer pastoral care."

Ministries for children from nursery to the 5th grade, students, college and career, adults and seniors.

Church members Charles and Sharon Battee enjoy coming to the CLC weekly. "Religious oriented place and we just enjoy it, it's almost like family being here," said Charles Battee. His wife says she enjoys walking on the indoor track.

Everything children, students and seniors need is Rose Heights Church. They have fellowship hall which is 360 person meeting space,great for meeting and conferences and also a perfect place for a venue. They also have counseling, a literacy program, ESL: English as a second language.

Church and CLC member Ladarius Scott says, he's come to the CLC for spiritual needs and to get the ticket to college. "I'm trying to get my GED which is a program which is program for people who didn't get the chance to get their diploma."

Pastor Fishback says he feels blessed to see the community make rose heights church the place to spend their time.

As far as memberships to the CLC, Fishback tell us they offer low rates.

the church says memberships are free for everyone, and support a faith-based, healthful lifestyle.

Membership fees: Ages 11-18, $10 for three months.
Ages 19-54, $20 for three months.
Ages 55+, $10 for three months.
Children under the age 11 are free.

And to note: the café serves Starbucks drinks, breakfast, lunch and dinner.
