ATHENS - The prosecution has called three witnesses today in the capital murder trial of Randall Wayne Mays. Prosecutors say the 47-year-old gunned down two Henderson County Sheriff's deputies during a domestic dispute in Payne Springs last May.

Dr. Joannie McClain, a forensic pathologist from Dallas County, performed autopsies on Henderson County Deputies Tony Ogburn and Paul Habelt.

Her testimony confirms the exact cause of death of both men. She says they both died from gunshot wounds to the head. She also said both were killed with the same weapon.
