BULLARD--The Smith County Sheriff's Department has released the identity of a body found in a Bullard ditch.

40 year old Monty Russell Smith's body was discovered around seven on County Road 113 Wednesday night.

Investigators believe it may have been dumped there.

Smith County Deputy Randy Meadows says the case is being investigated as a Homicide.

Autopsy results are still pending.
