TYLER--- We have a new consumer scam to warn you about, a viewer contacted us about a call she recently received.

She says a message was left on her phone by someone who said they were calling from Circuit City.

The caller asked her to return the call and provide some information but there was a catch, she did not recently order anything from Circuit City or so she thought.

The viewer says she then checked her bank account and found that someone has charged over one thousand dollars to her account.

Kay Robinson with the Better Business Bureau says she's not familiar with this scam but it follows a pattern, "This is very typical of how scam operators operate. They make it sound like it's something real but when they start asking for your personal information as a consumer that's when you should shut it down."

The bottom line beware and do not give out any personal information over the phone to anyone you do not know and did not contact.
