LONGVIEW--Longview police have made an arrest in connection with the murder of an elderly couple.

Early Saturday morning officers arrested 44 year old Brett Michael Birdwell.

Birdwell is charged in the deaths of Neil and June Killingsworth who were found dead in their home in April.

Detectives have not released a motive yet, but did say that Birdwell may have a labor related connection to the family.

Birdwell is in the Gregg County Jail on a $1,000,000 bond.
