Food bank holds conference

The East Texas food bank hosted its second conference at Tyler‘s First Baptist Church.

The theme of this year’s event is One Voice Against Hunger.

More than 200 partner agencies from 26 counties came together Tuesday.

The executive director of the organization says it's these partners coming together that make all the difference for the hungry here in East Texas.

According to the East Texas food bank there are more than 177,000 people in East Texas living in poverty.
