Longview’s 20-year plan could tackle community housing
Longview — The city’s in-progress 20-year Comprehensive Plan may consider the types of homes littered throughout the community.
“You can tell that your community is predominately single family — one unit housing, much higher than what we typically see,” said Wendy Shabay with consulting firm Freese and Nichols, which is helping devise the city’s plan.
Freese was examining Longview demographics Friday during the first meeting of the Comprehensive Plan Advisory Committee.
The 24-member committee has been tasked to lead the 18-month project, which will set a direction for the city during the next two decades.
