Longview—The city of Longview is making changes to their hiring process for management level positions. The city is looking to become more diverse in their leadership positions while at the same time ensuring the candidate is the best person for the job. Candidates for these positions will now have to go through numerous tests including a personality test before they are hired. “When you're hiring somebody you really don't know, an outside person you know, it helps to know their personality and how they fit and interact with other people because that's such an important part of being a manager,” said Longview City Manager David Willard,. The city also plans to hold diversity training for current city leaders.

they should have seen the red flags go up when pruitt pulled that race card crap during his traffic stop 2 weeks after getting hired, and also when he was telling people that he only applied for that job to prove that he could get hired on anywhere anytime....he should have been booted then!!! diversity is only effective when the ones hired aren't wrapped up in themselves so much that any little thing is going to cause them to scream racial discrimination....it is running rampant, and it will only get worse!!! thecity of longview got screwed out of 130,000 dollars to someone that should have never made it past thier first month in position!!!!
