Longview City Pools Open with Splash Day Event on June 8
Longview, TX (City of Longview) — To kick-off the summer swimming season, the City of Longview Parks and Recreation Department will open Ingram Pool and the recreation pool at Longview Swim Center with a free Splash Day event. During Splash Day, from Noon – 8:00 p.m., Saturday, June 8, admission to the pools will be free. The competition pool at Longview Swim Center is expected to open later in the summer.
Ingram Pool, located at Ingram Park at 1400 N. Tenth St., includes a water slide and raindrop spray feature. Longview Swim Center, located on the campus of Pine Tree High School at 1111 W. Fairmont St., includes a recreation pool with water slide and raindrop spray feature as well as a competition pool with 8 race lanes and a diving area. Unfortunately, the competition pool area at the Longview Swim Center will not open until approximately July while crews work to complete a maintenance renovation project. The maintenance project includes rehabilitation to the competition pool’s pump room, plumbing, and filters. The Longview Swim Center recreation pool with water slide and raindrop spray feature will open as normal on June 8.

Other Summer Swimming Information and Events:
Regular admission to the Longview Swim Center and Ingram Pool is $2 for adults 18 and over, $1 for children ages 4 to 17, and free for children ages 3 and under. Season passes may be purchased for the following prices: $50 for youth, $75 for adults, and $100 for a family. Please note that only immediate family members residing in the household are considered family.
Other special events include Family Night every Tuesday night from 5:00 – 6:15 p.m.; Itty Bitty Beach Party on July 12 from 10:00 a.m. – Noon at the Longview Swim Center; and the Dog Days of Summer on August 10 from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. at Longview Swim Center. Also throughout the summer, swimming lessons will be available for children and adults. Classes include Introduction to Water Skills, Fundamental Aquatic Skills, Stroke Development, Stroke Improvement, Stroke Refinement, Swimming and Skill Proficiency.
