Longview, TX (Longview News-Journal) — A town meeting for the residents of Longview’s District 1 has been set for 7 p.m. Feb. 5.

Mayor Jay Dean and Councilman John Sims will hold the town hall at Greggton United Methodist Church, at 1101 Pine Tree Road.

The meeting will be open to all Longview residents; however, it will focus on the concerns and ideas of those who live in District 1, which is West Longview.

Town meetings are scheduled this year on Tuesdays for each city council district. The location of these meetings is still to be determined:

District 1: Feb. 5

District 2: April 2

District 3: June 4

District 4: Aug. 6

District 5: Oct. 1

District 6: Dec. 3
