The Longview Fire Department and Partners in Prevention have teamed together for three, one day summer camps called Heroes Of Tomorrow (HOT).

The dates are June 23rd, July 28th, and August 11th. Heroes Of Tomorrow will be marketed to all teens in the Longview Area ages 14-17, but specifically targeted to minorities and females.

The Heroes Of Tomorrow itinerary will include classes from fire, EMS, and the Fire Marshal’s area. Our goal is to educate the teens on what a career in fire service entails. We will also be inviting the parents to an informative luncheon with Chief J.P. Steelman were they will have an opportunity to have their questions addressed.

Along with a better knowledge of the fire service, the teens will also receive giveaways, breakfast, lunch, and a t-shirt. This camp will be free of charge for the participants.
