LONGVIEW — A late night fire Tuesday caused a total loss of all inventory for a Longview business, Fire Marshal Johnny Zackary said.

A fire was reported at 9:12 p.m. Tuesday at Food Fast at 611 E. Marshall Ave. and was under control by 9:29 p.m. Customers were in the store at the time of the fire, but no one was injured, Zackary said.

The cause of the fire is under investigation, but employee Georgetta Writt said the source was an ICEE machine. Writt said a customer was paying at the register when she looked up to see the machine on fire. Everyone evacuated the store and police and fire were contacted.
