Longview, TX — About 446 Longview ISD employees will see an increase on future payroll checks.

The Longview ISD Board of Trustees on Monday approved increasing the hourly wage for some auxiliary and paraprofessional positions, including receptionists, custodial staff and food service personnel.

District officials said the new pay rates keep Longview ISD competitive with other area school districts.

Included in the pay hike package is a 25-cent hourly increase for some paraprofessional and auxiliary employees who already earn more than the new minimum.

The increases are retroactive to July 2012 and are planned for implementation by October.
