Longview, Tx (KETK) — Medical officials report Justice of the Peace Precinct 4 Judge Sam Lawson, who was shot over the weekend, is in good condition.

Lawson was allegedly shot by his wife, Ina Lawson, 70, on Saturday night at a home in the 2400 block of Pam Street in Longview.

According to police, Lawson was found in the utility room when authorities arrived. Police also found Lawson's wife at the scene.

The two were reportedly arguing when Ina Lawson pulled out a gun and shot her husband. He was taken to a local hospital with serious injuries.

Ina Lawson is booked into the Gregg County Jail on an aggravated assault with a deadly weapon charge. Her bail was set at $100,000.
